NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE OAK BROOK PARK DISTRICT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS September 4, 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the Oak Brook Park District Board of Commissioners will be on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the hour of 10:00 a.m. The Special Meeting will be held at the Oak Brook Park District Family Recreation Center, Canterberry Room, 1450 Forest Gate Road, Oak Brook, IL 60523, for the purpose of considering the following agenda.

Soccer Made in America Camp

This exciting camp offers a fully integrated program of soccer techniques and tactics. The camp is designed to teach players proper technical skills while enjoying the soccer game. Each participant must bring his or her own soccer ball, shin guards, indoor shoes (no cleats allowed), and water bottle to camp each day. Each player will receive a camp T-shirt and a certificate of achievement. The last day of camp will feature fun contests and an awards presentation. 
Ages: 4-14 yrs

Tae Kwon Do

Encourage your child to build self-esteem, confidence, and self-control as they learn the basic fundamentals of the Korean art of self-defense. Your child will work progressively improving their skills including punches, blocks, kicks, and single combination defensive and offensive moves. Returning students may qualify for the next level belt rank. Please wear sweatpants and a t-shirt to class.

Early Childhood Ages: 3-6 yrs
Youth Ages: 5-18 yrs

Shooting Stars Basketball Clinic

This clinic will be a great way to introduce your child to the gym and the game of basketball the ENERGIZE way. This class will be 55 minutes in length. The first 15 minutes of every class focused on locomotor skill development, following directions, and spatial awareness. These dynamic warmups will help your child build coordination, focus, and confidence all within a very positive environment. The following 25 minutes will be focused on skill development.  Skills such as dribbling, passing, layups, and shooting will be the focus.

Multi-Sport Mania Parent-Tot

This clinic will be a great way to introduce your child to the gym and the game of basketball the ENERGIZE way. Adult Basketball League

Are you interested in playing basketball? Then gather a team and join the Oak Brook Park District’s basketball league. A minimum of 8 players is required to be on the roster. Only teams ranked in the top half (according to standings) will be in the playoffs. Registration is by team only. Registration Deadline: 9/1.

Walking Soccer Outdoors

Are you looking to stay active and play some soccer? If so join this NEW walking soccer group! Starting in mid-March and running all the way through November this group will meet at a Central Park field once a week for an hour and play walking soccer games. Please check the schedule for each week’s date, location, and time. The fee is $5 to play. Each player MUST register each day they plan to attend! Spots are limited and will fill up! You can either sign-up to play by registering online each week or you can come into the Family Recreation Center and pay in person.

Bity Ballet

A joyful introduction to dance for little movers ages 3–5! In this playful program, children will learn the basic positions of ballet through imaginative movement, music, and song. Each class encourages creativity, coordination, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
