Community Shredding

-

Do you have stacks of confidential or private documents piling up? Join us for the Community Shredding Event hosted by the Oak Brook Park District and Evergreen Bank Group! On Saturday, June 8, Docu-Shred Inc. will have a truck available at the Kensington Road stone parking lot to perform immediate shredding services, from  9 am - 12:15 pm, or until the truck is full, whichever occurs first. All are welcome to bring up to three boxes containing documents including personal information such as medical history forms, bank statements, personal files, and retired tax forms. Commercial or business documents (including home businesses) will NOT be accepted. Loads containing unacceptable items will be rejected.

Our primary mission is to shred confidential paper documents and recycle as much of that paper as possible! For this reason, documents must be free of binder clips and other metals (spiral, etc.) and plastic bags. No shredding of cardboard boxes or plastic bags can be performed - please be prepared to take your boxes and bags with you. The Oak Brook Park District is not able to dispose of cardboard, other boxes, or plastic bags.

  • Know before you go! What is NOT accepted at this Shred Event?
Non-confidential documents such as glossy paper, magazines, books, newspapers, cardboard and junk mail
  • Non-paper items such as ID cards, xrays, microfilm, binder covers, 3-ring binders, hanging folders, and rubber bands
  • Commercial or business documents. We retain the right to refuse any business or institutional documents.

Thank you to our sponsor!
