League Offerings

 

Softball 16” Co-Ed Leagues 
Gather your co-workers and friends and join a 16-inch softball league this summer! The league will consist of a minimum of 6 teams and each team will need to field 5 men and 5 women for each game. All players must be 18 years or older. Team captains must submit a complete team roster with a minimum of 12 players. Game times are 6:15pm, 7:15pm, and 8:15pm (could vary depending on registration numbers). The regular season will consist of 8 games plus playoffs. An umpire and site supervisor are present at all games. In case of inclement weather, games will be rescheduled by park district staff.

 

Current Rules and Standings:

Men's Basketball League 
Are you interested in playing basketball? Then gather a team and come join the Oak Brook Park District men's basketball league. The league will consist of a minimum of 6 teams and a maximum of 12 teams. A minimum of 8 players is required to be on the roster. The league will run for 11 weeks; 10 weeks of regular play and 1 week of playoffs. Only teams ranked in the top half (according to standings) will be in the playoffs.

Athletic Classes

 

Introduction to Fencing
Experience excellent mental and physical training; and develop coordination, dexterity and stamina as you are introduced to the royal art of fencing using basic foils. Experienced instructors will emphasize safety and observing correct fencing procedures and etiquette. You will also learn basic footwork, rules, stances, parries, and thrusts. All equipment is provided. No registration can be accepted after the first week of the program. Once registered, attendance at the first two classes is required.
 

Self Defense
This class is intended to provide you with the basic principles of self-defense and situational awareness. You will learn several techniques for defending yourself if ever faced with an attack. Class begins with a warmup that includes stretching and cardio, then transitions into learning a variety of stances, kicks, punches, blocks, grabs and counters. This class is educational, challenging and fun!
