Winter Lights at Central Park

Nov 20th - Jan 3rd 4:30-9:30pm Everyday

Every evening from 4:00-9:30 PM (Sensory-Friendly time 4:00 - 4:30 PM)

Bundle up for the Winter Lights at Central Park!

As the sun sets, Central Park transforms into a magical winter wonderland. Thousands of twinkling lights illuminate the 1/2 mile walk through the beautifully lit Central Park. Discover dancing trees, colorful rainbow arches, cascading snowflakes, dazzling twirling icicles, vibrantly colored butterflies, and musical hearts throughout this scenic walk. This walk is FREE to the community and accessible to all. Sensory-Friendly Time: From 4 pm to 4:30 pm every day, all blinking and moving lights are static and music is silenced. Oak Brook Park District works to minimize barriers and ensure that everyone can fully experience the lights.

The Winter Lights at Central Park will occur from November 20, 2026, to January 3, 2027, every evening from 4:00 to 9:30 PM.

*Path closes at 9:30 PM each night and during inclement weather (heavy snow, ice, rain, or lightning). Any closure will be posted on this page.

*Dogs are allowed on a leash.

The Oak Brook Park District Foundation is proud to partner with People’s Resource Center! Together, we support a community dedicated to meeting basic human needs, promoting dignity and justice, and building a future of hope and opportunity for residents of DuPage County, Illinois.
