FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN NATIONAL DAY OF COMMUNITY SERVICE

November 4th is National Day of Community Service. Join us on this important day to make a difference! We will take a trip to Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a nonprofit organization that strives to reduce the millions of children who die from under-nutrition. Hunger is still causing nearly half of deaths in children under 5 years old. We will be hand-packing rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to incredible partners who distribute the food to children who need it around the world. We will be packing from 9–11am. After volunteering, we will have lunch out together at Granite City in Schaumburg. Lunch will include a pick 2 – mix and match entree (soup, salad, half sandwich, and soup), drink and dessert. You’ll experience what it’s like to make a tangible difference on this National Day of Community Service. Both sitting and standing jobs will be available at this activity. Volunteer spots at FMSC fill up for almost every shift. Therefore, if you do sign up, please be sure to attend and provide a week’s notice if you need to cancel.
