Community Ice Rink

The Oak Brook Park District Ice Rink is a seasonal feature of Central Park. Our rink features benches, overhead lighting, and unique under-ice lights. Ice skating, hockey, curling, and other sports can be played on the rink.

To help extend the life of the ice rink, please stay off the surface even if it appears frozen. Use of an improperly frozen surface damages the rink, resulting in extended downtime.

Ice Rink Rules:

  • The ice rink is open for use between dawn and dusk when the green flag is displayed.
  • A red flag or no flag means the rink is closed.
  • The ice rink is unsupervised and users skate at their own risk.
  • Parents are responsible for children.
  • The ice rink was installed for the use and enjoyment of all ages and skill levels. Fair and equal use of the rink is required.
  • Alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited. Violators are subject to arrest.
  • Please exercise fair, community based behavior. Offensive and/or vulgar language, gestures, or acts, as well as disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • The Oak Brook Park District reserves the right to limit or exclude use of the ice rink and/or eject skaters who are violating rules.
  • Events scheduled by the Oak Brook Park District take precedence over other activities.
