Comprehensive Attitude and Interest Survey | 2021
In October 2021, Park District staff sought to understand how/if the community’s needs altered and changed during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and conducted this survey. The needs assessment results will be used to identify and clarify concerns and also inform leadership decisions related to customer service, marketing, trends, quality and cleanliness, future development, programming, partnerships, and use patterns.
A total of 301 users of The Park District services, including 201 residents, provided feedback on their levels of satisfaction with staff, facilities, parks, programs, and overall offerings, including their experience during the COVID-19 Pandemic, future needs, and desires. The information compiled for this public report will help the Oak Brook Park District to continue to serve the community, as needs have altered due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. When coupled with the Master Vision and Strategic Plan, this updated information will enhance and sustain the community recreation opportunities available to the residents and users of the Oak Brook Park District.
Comprehensive Attitude and Interest Survey | 2017
In the fall of 2016, the Oak Brook Park District, in cooperation with the Office of Recreation & Park Resources at the University of lllinois, conducted a survey to learn your present and future needs for park district programs, facilities, and open lands. We have utilized the information from the surveys to help prioritize projects and will implement the results into longterm planning.
A total of 483 residents responded to the survey request and provided their feedback on their levels of satisfaction with staff, facilities, parks, programs and overall offerings, as well as feedback regarding their future needs and desires. Employees from 27 companies located in the Village of Oak Brook were invited to complete a similar survey, which was administered online. This resulted in 88 responses from employees of at least ten different companies. These results were reported separately from the resident data and in this report are referred to as corporate respondents or corporate users. The information compiled for this public report will help the Oak Brook Park District develop a comprehensive long-range plan. When coupled with the strategic plan this will enhance and sustain the community recreation opportunities available to the residents and users of the Oak Brook Park District.

The Oak Brook Park District conducted a comprehensive Needs Assessment and Community Interest survey in 2014. The assessment was designed to gauge our community's current usage, satisfaction, and recreational needs.
