STARS is a competitive recreational swim team that is open to swimmers ages 6-18. This team is committed to supporting swimmers at every level. Whether you’re developing the proper mechanics of competitive strokes or looking to advanced stroke refinement and improve endurance, you will experience quality training in an environment that is based on sportsmanship, responsibility, discipline, and confidence. Our goal is to encourage a love of swimming while developing swimmers into the very best competitors they can be. This is an inclusive recreational program that encourages growth based on personal goals and abilities.
To ensure our team members receive the specific training needed to be successful and stay motivated; our experienced coaching staff will evaluate each swimmer's individual ability and needs before determining group placement.
The Park District continues to operate our programming as permitted within the IDPH and CDC guidelines. The STARS Swim Team also considers guidance from USA Swimming. Practices will be structured to accommodate social distancing within the pool where possible. Each group will meet on a regular schedule as follows:
