When is The Pink 5K Race?

How long is the 5K Race?
It's 5 kilometers, which is 3.1 miles.

What happens if I become injured after I enter and cannot participate?
There are no medical refunds or rollovers, nor can you transfer your registration to another person.

Can I walk?
Yes! Walkers are welcome. We ask that you start closer to the back of the line to allow runners to make their best time.

Can I bring my stroller/dog?
Strollers & wheelchairs are welcome. We ask that strollers start near the back of the line to allow runners to make their best time. No dogs, unless they are a service dog.

What about parking and transportation?
Please arrive early to park at 1450 Forest Gate Rd. Additional parking may be found off Jorie Blvd. and Kensington.

What will the weather be like?
Good question! The weather in Illinois is variable, but you knew that! The Pink 5k will take place come rain or shine!

Will there be awards after the race?
The top 3 finishers in each age group will win a medal. Results will be posted on our website by noon on the day of the event and medals will be available for pick up at 1450 Forest Gate Road, beginning Monday, May 13. 

Where do I get my race bib and package?
Individual Packet Pick-Up
Individual participants may pick up their race packets at the Family Recreation Center, 1450 Forest Gate Road, from 4pm-7pm, Thursday, May 9, and Friday, May 10, 2024. Race day packet pick up is from 6am-7:45am.
