There's something new waiting for everyone this autumn at Oak Brook Park District. Open registration for Autumn programs begins Monday, August 3, at 7:00 a.m. Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, stay active, connect with others, or spend quality time with family, the Autumn Program Guide offers something for every interest and stage of life.
Did you know? Swim lessons aren't just for kids. Oak Brook Park District offers adult swim lessons designed for those new to water skills, those returning to the water after many years, or swimmers looking to improve their technique in a supportive environment. For adults looking to take their swimming even further, the Park District Masters Swim Team welcomes adults 18 and older, including beginners, fitness swimmers, triathletes, and experienced competitors. The program offers coached workouts focused on improving technique, speed, endurance, and overall fitness, and no competitive swimming experience is required.
While registration opens for fall programs, the Park District is also continuing to provide free opportunities for the community to gather and enjoy the final weeks of summer.
Join neighbors and friends for Outdoor Movie Night on Wednesday, August 5, featuring Zootopia 2 at the Oaks Amphitheater. The use of LED display boards means the movie doesn’t have to wait until dark to start! This free event begins at 6:00 p.m. and does not require registration. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, with concessions available for purchase.
The summer fun continues on Thursday, August 6, with the Summer Concert Series performance featuring Sushi Roll from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Oaks Amphitheater. The free concert, sponsored by Wintrust Community Bank, invites guests to enjoy live music, concessions, and a summer evening with the community.
From aquatic programs and fitness classes to sports, enrichment opportunities, and community events, Oak Brook Park District offers countless ways to stay engaged throughout the year.
