Oak Brook Park District is proud to announce that it has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the second consecutive year. The award recognizes the commitment of the District’s governing body and staff to the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
To receive this honor, the Park District’s budget was evaluated against nationally recognized guidelines designed to assess how effectively it serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications tool. Budget documents must be rated proficient in all four categories, and in the14 mandatory criteria within those categories to receive the award.
This recognition reflects Oak Brook Park District’s continued commitment to responsible stewardship of public resources, transparent financial planning, and clear communication with the community. The District will continue working to maintain the high standards required for participation in GFOA’s Budget Awards Program.
