Oak Brook Park District Receives 30th Consecutive Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

Oak Brook, IL - The Oak Brook Park District has once again earned national recognition for its commitment to financial transparency and accountability. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the District for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2024. This award marks the 30th consecutive year the Oak Brook Park District has received this prestigious honor.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

The annual comprehensive financial report was reviewed by an impartial panel and judged to meet the high standards of the GFOA program. These standards include demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” that clearly communicates the District’s financial story and encourages users and user groups to read and understand the report.
