A winter coat sitting unused in the back of a closet could help someone stay warm this winter. The Oak Brook Park District is inviting the community to give a little warmth through its Coat Drive, running now through October 31. Community members can drop off new or gently used, clean winter jackets at the Family Recreation Center, 1450 Forest Gate Rd., Oak Brook, or the Tennis Center, 1300 Forest Gate Rd., Oak Brook. All donated coats will be provided to World Relief Chicagoland.
The drive reflects the Park District’s commitment to creating opportunities for community members to support one another and make a positive impact beyond its parks and programs.
Community members are encouraged to check their closets and donate a coat to help fill the collection bins this fall.
