Oak Brook Park District will host its annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon on Sunday, November 8 from 11am-1pm. The event brings veterans, their families, and community members together to recognize the service of those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The free, family-friendly event will take place at the Family Recreation Center, 1450 Forest Gate Road, in Oak Brook. The luncheon will include a complimentary meal provided by Lazy Dog Restaurant, a presentation honoring veterans, and a resource fair featuring information and support services for veterans. Activities for families will also be available, including crafts for children.
The luncheon provides an opportunity for the community to recognize local veterans while connecting them and their families with resources that may support them beyond the event.
Pre-registration is required for everyone attending, including family members, to help ensure an accurate headcount for lunch.
