A petting zoo, live music from School of Rock, and a foam party are just some of what families can expect at the Oak Brook Park District’s Fall Family Day: Harmony in the Park on Saturday, September 19. The free community event will take place from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Oaks Amphitheater, 1315 Kensington Road.
The afternoon kicks off with DJ Wade from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., featuring family-friendly music and interactive games. School of Rock will take the stage from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m., showcasing talented local youth musicians.
Music is just part of the fun. Families can get up close with animals at the petting zoo, explore a Touch-a-Truck experience, get creative with arts and crafts, have their faces painted, enjoy a bubble show, and capture the day at a photo booth. Kids can also burn off some energy with two fun bounce houses.
The afternoon will wrap up with a foam party from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Families can jump, dance, and play in the foam during the final hour of the event. Families attending the foam party are encouraged to wear clothing they are comfortable getting wet in and bring a towel.
The event is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
