Splash Island

Splash Island is Closed.

Under guidelines provided for Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan, we are allowed to utilize Splash Island with restrictions. We look forward to opening Splash Island agin in May, 2021. We will offer the facility under two different systems:

“Open Swim” sessions beginning at 10am and offer 90 minutes of swimming after which we allow 30 minute closure for disinfecting in between each new session. This will create a new time slot every 2 hours.

Each session will require advance registration and only allow for capacity within the most current guidelines. We expect to be able to accommodate at least 30 people per “Open Swim” with hopes that mitigations will expand to allow larger gatherings. For all “Open Swim” sessions, including opportunities for our indoor Leisure Pool, we are utilizing the UPace app. Instructions on how to download and use the app can be found here: https://www.obparks.org/reserve

Members: Free
Residents: $10
Non-Residents: $12

Due to regulations within the guidelines, we must operate under, the facility has strict headcount limits. In order to operate in a consistent manner, we require anyone entering the facility to pay the usage fee, unless they are members. This includes children of all ages as well as any member of your party that may not even enter the water. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

At this time, the Oak Brook Park District is not yet taking Splash Island party/rental reservations. We are awaiting updates from the CDC, IDPH, DCEO, and State of Illinois on what Covid regulations will be in place for outdoor pools as we move into summer. Please refer back to our website come early May for all information and updates regarding Splash Island rentals and parties.

The facility is available for private use for capacity within the most current guidelines. You decide who you would like to share the pool with. All people will count towards the limit whether they use the water, or not. Reservations for private rentals can be found on our website beginning in late April.

Refunds will be issued if we receive a written request prior to 24 hours in advance of the reservation. Within 24 hours of the reservation, cancelations will be applied to an account as a credit for future use. If severe weather shortens a rental, the cost will be pro-rated to match the time used rounded off to the half-hour.
