Tennis at the Sports Core

The Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club has (8) eight Har-Tru courts along with a staff of skilled tennis professionals for instruction and for providing a whole array of competitive events. Enjoy your matches on maintained courts in a private wooded setting. HAR-TRU courts are easier on the body than other types of courts. There is less strain on the back, legs, and ankles than asphalt/hard courts. HAR-TRU is flexible, allowing a player to slide and recover under control.

Player Development:
Players, especially junior players, develop a better, more well-rounded game. The slower speed of clay courts allows a player to learn to construct a point and learn to play a better all-court game. Clay courts develop toughness, stamina, patience, and strategy.

Environmentally Friendly: Clay dries quickly and is environmentally safe. Unlike hard court surfaces, players can be on a clay court in a matter of minutes after a rain shower. Har-Tru absorbs water quickly, solves run-off control issues, and gets players back on the court for an exciting match.

Vertical Court Geometry: The vertical & parallel court geometry allows players to get a truly private feeling while playing a match because there are no balls coming over to your court. The courts are stacked baseline to baseline with a fence separating each court as well as green space. No interference from stray balls so players get to stay in the flow of a match!
