Developmental Guidelines
The preschool teachers at the Oak Brook Park District compiled these descriptors to serve as a reference for your child’s development. Please keep in mind, however, that the information below is only a general guideline. All children develop at their own rate, so a deficiency or delay in one of the skills does not necessarily indicate a problem. However, if you are concerned with your child’s development because he/she seems to be behind in several areas, please talk to your child’s teacher or contact one of the following agencies:
