Oak Brook Park District Playgrounds, Facilities Closed Following Executive Order

Friday, March 20, 2020 Oak Brook, IL – Following the Executive Order announced by Governor Pritzker, the Oak Brook Park District is closing all playgrounds to the public starting Saturday, March 21 at 5:00pm. Along with all playgrounds, Park District facilities will remain closed through at least April 7, 2020.

The Park District’s mission to provide the very best to our community is even more important during these times. Trails, open spaces, and parks are still available and important resources for individuals to get outside while practicing social distancing. The Park District has resources, videos, and remote activities available for all on our website, at www.obparks.org/tips-for-positive-play, and social media pages (follow @obparks). Resources and videos are being updated daily.

The Park District will continue to work closely with local city, school, and health department authorities to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic. We will re-evaluate the situation and make decisions based on the health and well-being of our community. Please check our website, www.obparks.org/news, for updates.

Updates will be provided on the Oak Brook Park District website, Facebook page (www.facebook.com/obparks), and via email. To sign up for our emails, visit www.obparks.org/park-district-enewsletter.
