Oak Brook Art Exhibit on Display Through February

Oak Brook Art League Exhibits Work at the Park District in February

The Oak Brook Park District is hosting a collective exhibit of work from the Oak Brook Art League. The exhibit will be available to the public through March 1 at the Family Recreation Center, 1450 Forest Gate Road in Oak Brook.

There are 18 works on display from artists including Oak Brook residents Lyn Tietz, Dr. Mark Moy, Ardythe Tiesenga, Abhi Ganju, and Cynthia Meyer. The work of Carol Carls, Jen Carreon, Evalyn Holy, Carol Slezewski, Justin Stankus and Marta Tiesenga is also featured.

“The exhibit really celebrates the impact of artists within our community,” says Oak Brook Park District’s marketing and communications manager, Jessica Cannaday. One of the featured works, “Little Brown House,” by Ardythe Noorlag Tiesenga was completed in 1950. Ardythe founded the Oak Brook Art League in September 1996.

The public is invited to attend the Oak Brook Art League’s reception on Friday, Feb. 22 from 6-8pm at the recreation center. The exhibited work will be judged and awards announced during the event.
