Recreation Special Events

Splash into fun with the Oak Brook Park District at the indoor Family Aquatic Center. The aquatic center offers fun events for the entire family year-round. Cold or hot our aquatic events will be sure to please.

Friday Night Cosmic Swim

  • Come to open swim on Friday Nights from 6:00-9:00pm to experience our brand new cosmic lighting. The water in the vortex and slide will change colors. Don't miss it!

Swim Lesson Pool Party
  • All Swim Lesson participants and their families. Join your favorite swim instructor at the Family Aquatic Center for an evening of swimming, snacks, and games. Any child participating in our summer swim lesson program is invited for the pool party. This includes participants from: Parent Tot, Terrific Tot, the wave program, individual lessons, and intro to competitive swimming. The Family Aquatic Center and outdoor Splash Park will be open from 6:00-8:00pm for swim lesson participants and their families. Enjoy the waterslide and water play features all to yourself !

Dive in Movie

  • Watch a movie from the water! Float in the pool on your own inflatable raft while watching a movie on our poolside big screen. Please bring your own rafts. PLEASE NOTE: This event is FREE to Family Aquatic Center Members but you must register in person with your membership card.
