Oak Brook Park District Parks and Facilities

The Oak Brook Park District, created in 1962, owns and maintains seven parks in Oak Brook, totaling 150 acres. Central Park, located on Jorie Boulevard and Forest Gate Road, is home to the District’s Racquet Club, Family Recreation Center, Premiere Fitness Club, indoor Family Aquatic Center, Shelter, Gazebo, administration office and several outdoor athletic fields. Additional parks are located throughout Oak Brook’s residential areas: three in the Saddlebrook subdivision, one in the Yorkshire Woods subdivision (Chillem Park) and one in the Forest Glen subdivision. Athletic fields, playgrounds and walking paths are available in several locations for the enjoyment of the community.

For location and facilities available in each park and the location of local schools, click here to view/download a pdf.

For more information, please call the Oak Brook Park District at (630) 990-4233.

Bike & Fitness Path

Get a breath of fresh air, enjoy nature and get some exercise on Oak Brook’s Bike & Fitness Path. The 7-mile path winds through scenic Central Park, as well as many of the Oak Brook residential subdivisions. Maps are available at all Park District facilities or on our website at www.obparks.org. Available year-round, walking, running or biking on the Oak Brook Bike & Fitness Path is a great way to stay healthy and fit.

Disc Golf

If you’re looking for a new outdoor sport, the Oak Brook Park District has the answer! Construction of the NEW 9-hole Disc Golf Course has been completed. Referred to as ‘Frisbee Golf,’ disc golf is an innovative sport that combines skill, speed and precision. Disc Golf is a lot like traditional golf, except that players use specially made plastic flying discs instead of balls and clubs, and throw them for ‘par’ at an above-ground basket target. The object of the game is to throw a disc into the target in the fewest number of throws.

Walk the scenic 9-hole course and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful outdoor landscape of Central Park! To play Disc Golf at the Oak Brook Park District, a $2.00 disc 'Frisbee' rental fee will be charged to participants. A $10.00 deposit is also required. Stop by the Family Recreation Center Front Desk during regular facility hours. For more information, please contact the Oak Brook Park District at (630) 990-4233.
