Youth Basketball Coach -Part Time

Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor this individual will be able to assist our head basketball coach in teaching the fundamentals of basketball to K-4th grade boys and girls.  Basic skills required include shooting, dribbling, and passing. Position hours are Mondays 4-7PM, Thursdays 5-7PM and Saturdays 8-1PM.

Child Care Room -Part Time

We are looking for good communication skills with both children and adults for the Child Care Room. Great customer service is also a necessity. Other positive personality traits are expected to be shown to all the children during their time in the playroom. The Oak Brook Park District strives to provide a fun, cheerful, and overall great experience to our patrons. The hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday’s from 4-7pm. Saturday’s from 8:30am-12pm.

Front Desk Customer Service at the Recreation Center -Part Time

Front Desk is required to have both customer service and communication skills, able to multi-task, handle cash drawer and needs to have computer knowledge. The hours available are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday’s from 5:15am-11:00am. The Oak Brook Park District achieves outstanding results by providing exceptional customer service. Swim Instructor -Part Time

Part-time positions are available to work afternoons, nights, and weekend mornings starting in January. We are looking for instructors to teach children 9 months to 12 years old. Qualified applicants should be outgoing, fun, responsible, and supportive. Must be at least 16 years old. Party Hostess -Part Time

Part-time positions are available to work evenings and weekends starting in December. The Aquatic Birthday Party Host/Hostess will create a fun and engaging experience for our birthday guests; including their families, children, and adults. He or she is also responsible for ensuring guest safety. No experience is necessary. Park District Custodian -Part Time

The Park District Custodian is responsible for the janitorial maintenance of the any of the Park District facilities.

Essential Job Duties:

• Communicate with Lead Custodian regularly on Park District matters.
• Keep Lead Custodian informed of any required facility or equipment repairs, and status of janitorial supply inventory. 
• Clean and maintain to a high level all park district facilities. This includes but not limited to: sweeping and mopping hard surface floors, vacuuming carpets, washing walls, windows, counter tops, appliances and fixtures in addition to trash removal.
• Maintain the physical condition of the Family Recreation Center, the Racquet Club and Central Park West at a high degree of cleanliness.
• Set up and/or breakdown programming space as required by facility and recreational staff.  This includes but not limited to: lifting and arranging chairs and tables, sports court set up and moving supplies.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all communications.
• Support a quality loss control/safety program for the Park District.
• Perform small projects and repairs as needed.
• Perform any duties as assigned by the Facility Services Manager, Director of Park and Facility Services and the Executive Director.

Aerobic Instructor -Part Time

Qualified applicant must have AFA or comparable certification at time of hire. Previous experience is a plus. Job responsibilities include teaching a variety of aerobics classes on as needed basis. Instructor responsible for coming up with multiple and varying routines for a class size ranging in 10-20 people. Also responsible for enforcing group exercise policies and charting attendance.
