\Joe, My team and I (The Thin(ner) Blue Line) would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to you, Maggie and Terrell for all the hard work and time you put into the Choose To Lose program. We all had a great time, and even dropped some pounds as well!! The weekly challenges were well thought out and varied, allowing teams with different strengths and areas for improvement to enjoy them. It was a great way to jump-start the usual beginning of the year plans for weight loss and fitness!

Thank you for organizing the Choose To Loose challenge.  This was a great way to start the year and build some momentum to get me motivated towards better health in 2010.  It has carried me through the first couple of months which are the most difficult for me to stay active and I am now building on that with ongoing fitness classes to keep up the momentum.  This activity made working out and getting healthy fun to do with coworkers.  I will continue to utilize training in a group environment as a catalyst throughout the year.  Looking forward to future events.

I knew I wanted to lose weight. It was hard to motivate myself. But through the past 7 weeks I have been living a healthier lifestyle in what I eat and how much I exercise. My team was supportive and most of all we had some fun. I have heart disease and diabetes. It has been a struggle to manage both. But now I have learned that I can accomplish eating and exercising goals and I feel stronger. Being older, I had to push myself in competitions. I was never the best, but I did it! Thanks to Joe for all his encouragements and suggestions. This has been really good for mind, body and spirit.

I was very scared to start this challenge; I didn't know how much I would be able to do. Being overweight had prevented me from doing a lot of actives with friends and family in the past. During these past weeks, I have done things I didn't know I was capable to do. Like walk/jog 5 miles. Many times I was scared I didn't do enough, but I knew I needed to stay positive and keep our team motivated. I still have a long way to go, but am now more confident in my self. I am doing more physical activity and living a healthier life. Joe and his team were always great at keeping us motivated while doing a challenge or just going threw the weigh-in. This has been a wonderful experience. Thanks Joe

Through the Choose to Lose challenge, my wife and I were able to get serious about sticking to healthier eating habits (smaller portions) as well as to a regular exercise routine. My wife took advantage of the opportunity to work with a couple of wonderful OBPD trainers and we both gained new insight into the weight loss process (dietary and exercise) through their input and advice. We're very excited to continue what we started in the last eight weeks and appreciate the opportunity this challenge provided to us. Thanks again to Joe and the OBPD staff for a great experience!
